The Houchen Bindery Team would like to extend a special thank you to our friends at Library Binding Service for visiting our plant on April 29, 2011.
Lang Wightman, Werner Rebsamen, Damon Osborne and Fritz James made the trip to our facility for a plant tour and to speak to our team members. They were accompanied by Werner Rebsamen, the Technical Advisor to the Hardcover Binding Institute/Library Binding Institute.
The focus of the tour was on our new state-of-the-art Standard Horizon BQ-470 PUR Perfect Binder. The experts at LBS were interested in seeing how their Universal Endsheet product is being put to use for hardcover binding and re-binding.
At a special company-wide meeting, our visitors discussed how crucial a caring, well-trained, and well-equipped team is to the success of a company. Werner Rebsamen shared some of his storied background in bookbinding with the team, as well as a few anecdotes.
We are very grateful to have such caring partners at LBS and HBI/LBI, and we appreciate them taking the time to visit with us.
You can see Werner Rebsamen’s new column about Universal Endsheets in the May 2011 issue of The Endpaper, a monthly publication of Hardcover Binders International and the Library Binding Institute.
